I didn't find Ultimate Vitality until I was almost finished with my radiation treatments for breast cancer. My regimen was 5 weeks, 5 times a week. I didn't really notice and significant change until the 4th week. I had been using Aquaphor and Gold Bond powder as the doctor ordered, but as I progressed into the last week of radiation I felt I needed something better. I found the radiation cream and it shipped quickly. I began using it 3 times a day immediately. By this time my skin was extremely red with dark dots that look like freckles. The skin under my arm began to peel and was raw and a little tender. Within less than a week post radiation my skin began to heal and redness and peeling stopped. Now, 3 weeks later my skin is a tan color and I still use the cream 2-3 times a day to combat dryness (although the dryness isn't that bad because of the cream). I will continue to use Ultimate Vitality for months to come. I'm not sure if my skin will get back to 100% pre-radiation, but I am confident that using Ultimate Vitality Radiation Cream will help to keep my skin hydrated and soft. I wish I had known about Ultimate Vitality at the beginning of radiation.

Secondly, I am so happy with this lotion I think I will continue using it through the drying New England winter. It is soothing and absorbs easily. The lavender scent is light and calming - exactly what I need right now. I am on day 8 of my radiation therapy; I have been using the lotion since day 3. Currently used Miaderm on the advice of my Radiation team but now that I went through 5 days, 5 weeks of radiation therapy, my left boob was crispy and angry so I was looking for another possible relief cream and I decided to do a Internet search and found this product and decided I wanted to give it a try and I like it better than Miaderm. Love the natural ingredients that includes Calendula Oil and a number of others that Miaderm doesn’t have. This product smells pleasant with the lavender scent, but it is not overpowering. It is not greasy and is easily absorbed into the skin. My radiation oncologist was amazed at how well my skin looked. After 22 of 33 radiation treatments I was sent this cream by a friend. I was taking a break from treatments and began using the cream, 4-5 times a day. Two weeks later my skin had healed enough to finish the last 11 radiation treatments. I would apply cream right after a treatment and then throughout the day. After six months I switched to regular moisturizing lotion. That lasted less than a week, the heat had returned along with some discomfort. Now, 15 months later, I still use Ultimate Vitality radiation cream once a day. I am not saying my experience is normal, we are all different and our skin responds differently. I strongly recommend Ultimate Vitality, it has been a miracle for me!

Just completed my 28 radiation treatments yesterday. Throughout the process, I’ve been using this lotion as well as pure aloe and a prescription cream. I also tried a couple name brand lotions which weren’t nearly as good! This is the best by far! In fact, I’ll probably continue to use this product as a general lotion.As others have written, this lotion is scented. I love the scent, and others have said it smells great as well. This includes a friend who is very sensitive to smells. This doesn’t bother her at all. But if you can only tolerate scented products, this is not for you.

I am very happy with this product. As anyone who is going through radiation knows, you have to "lotion up" many times a day. This product is non-greasy, smells good, moisturizes well, is all natural, and something that is very important to me - not tested on animals. I also like the fact that it is aloe vera based instead of water based. I do not understand spending $50 on a tube of cream where the first ingredient is water.I am down to my last 7 treatments and my skin has just started to show signs of burning. I attribute this at least in part to the cream. Hopefully I won't need to, but should I need to buy such a cream again, it would be this one.

I used this as a post-radiation cream, in combo with Weleda (which is much better) and Trader Joe's vitamin E/aloe. Clearly a bit of overkill on my part.This is a thin lotion, feels like a standard cheap lotion. I didn't remember that I'd paid $29 for 6 oz. It's definitely not worth that much money, but it does have some good ingredients. I also don't think that it's adequate on its own for radiation treatment. It's too thin. Not sure it's moisturizing. Not sure it has enough of the anti-inflammatory properties that calendula has. It's more like they threw in a bunch of ingredients that are generally thought of to be good, but in no certain quantities. I think I purchased it as "just-in-case" these other ingredients are helpful. It's more like they provide a fragrance more than anything else that I'm aware of.Speaking of fragrance, if lavender is your thing, you may like this. The dominant fragrance is lavender, and it's very strong. I don't mind lavender, but I don't seek it out. The whole process of the daily lotion after radiation is unpleasant at best, and, with such a strong fragrance, you will likely make that association with that unpleasant period. When I was finished with radiation and the few weeks afterward when I was supposed to put lotion on, I kept using the Weleda for a few extra weeks, just in case it helped. Weleda was more of a pleasant fragrance to me. I stopped using this lotion in part because it seemed more like clear overkill by then, especially since it was so thin. A few weeks later I started using it just as regular post-shower lotion. At first, the fragrance was too much just in terms of my association with radiation. I got over that relatively quickly (although the scent will bring up the whole thing pretty easily in my mind), and I can use it as lotion. Probably easier to use it as an ordinary lotion without thinking about the price, which might make more sense if it was an amazing lotion, but it's not. I'll keep using it just because I might as well use it up.Bottom line: overpriced.

This has been the best product for my radiated skin. It is more soothing and easier to massage onto skin than cortisone with aloe. For me it stopped the itching burning sensation almost immediately. The scent is a faint medicinal smell that goes away. Scent free would be better.

OH MY GOD, this is a miraculous cream!!! We use it because me and my Mom have a very sensitive skin and we have Proton Radiation!!! That can damage more the skin. I ordered this cream after I used Miaderm during my breast cancer radiation. I found both products pretty equal, but I like this cream because it has more natural ingredients. It is important to use the cream at least several times a day, especially right after treatment. I had to add cortisone cream (not alot) as well during the last week of treatment and for at least a week after treatments ended to deal with the severe itching from the rashes. However, I feel the cream helped keep the rashes and burn from becoming raw and causing further issues. I continue to use it as the remainder of the healing takes place, two weeks after.

Wanted to love this. Thought it would be gentle and safe as was developed by a nurse. But unfortunately too much for my skin and it created horrible burns on my skin. They were very nice and the return and refund so that was very pleasant. I'd show pics but can't due to areas etc. Like I said my skin is incredibly sensitive. Worked fabulously on my hands for a hand lotion as that was where I skin tested 1st. Took 2 weeks and lots of care to make burns from cream go away :-( very painful. Just use plain organic coconut oil now. Safer for me.
